This adorable pup is Roo. She’s being fostered through Shirley’s Angels Boxer Rescue. She is very loving and sweet. I met her at an adoption event a few weeks ago and she just gave me a couple kisses and laid down. She enjoys playing with all the dogs in her foster home but really wants her own family. She was born May 4, 2014 and is up to date on all vaccinations and de-wormings. Her mother was a Lab/Pit mix and they believe her father may have been part Shepherd, judging on her markings. The picture does not do her justice! She’s cinnamon colored with a black mask. Absolutely adorable and sweet! What are you waiting for? Head on over to http://shirleysboxers.org to fill out an adoption application for Roo!

Just found this gem on The Golden Dood. Cute little feature that lets you create a birth certificate or adoption certificate for your pup! Check out dogster.com and The Golden Dood on WordPress.
Recently I have found some really neat and exciting things on the internet. One of my favorite websites is dogster.com because there is always a heartfelt story or new product to try out. It features everything from hilarious photos and inspiring stories, to reviews on veterinarian clinics and more. One of my recent treasures I found on dogster is My Happy Park. The name of the website may be a little deceiving. This website doesn’t feature parks and playgrounds but is actually quite the opposite. My Happy Park is a fun little place where you can create a birth certificate or adoption certificate for your pup. These aren’t just any certificates either! They are top of the line, fashionable certificates. What better way to say “Welcome to the family” than a certificate that’s all their own! The best part about these certificates is you get to choose what you…

This week’s feature is twice the love. These twin brothers, Taylor and Tyler are available for adoption with VA Paws for Pits. They’re chocolate and white lab/pit mixes and are absolute lovers. VPFP would love for these guys to go to a home together if possible. They are almost three, neutered, and up to date on all shots. It would be best to note that these guys would do best in home with just them. They do get along with other dogs after proper slow introduction so a test with your pets is possible. They do not like cats, however. Their foster mama, Tammy is always happy to answer any questions about these loving dudes and wanted me to mention that they come with toys and a custom winter jacket of your choosing from Kandystorepets.com. Head over to virginiapawsforpits.org for an application!
There comes a time in everyone’s life when we begin something new and exciting. Welcome to my new and exciting! I created this blog to share my love of rescuing and to show you everything it involves. I’ve recently rescued my third furbaby and want to share her story with you every step of the way. I’ll also share any tips and tricks I have for finding your new family member, bringing them home, and making them your best friend. I volunteer with VA Paws for Pits, a rescue organization that rescues pit bulls and mixes as well as other bully breeds and helps find them new furever homes. I also occasionally assist a few other rescues in my area. Please don’t hesitate to leave me comments or to email me. I’d love to hear your questions and any suggestions to content you may be looking for.
